Philippine Festivals and Celebrations

Philippine celebrates many kinds of fiesta or festival. People paint their faces and even the whole body, dress in colorful costumes and do the street dancing with the beat of the drums. Street dancing is the most popular and highlight in the festival. Many Groups are preparing for this event not only to win the prize but also serves as an offering. The best months of the Philippine festivals are January, April, May, October and December.


Sinulog Festival
Location: Cebu City, Philippines
Sinulog Festival is held annually during the month of January. It is our annual commitment to Sto. Nino to be there during the festivities. It was not easy getting to the top or even inside because lots of people are lining up on the entrance.
Bangsi Festival
Location: Sarangani, Philippines
We traveled 4 hours to General Santos City and another hour to reach the province of Maitum. The entire festival was great and we had a good time covering different events of the festival.

  


Kadayawan Festival
Location: Davao City, Philippines
The festival honors Davao's artistic, cultural and historical heritage, its past personified by the ancestral Lumad people, its people as they celebrate on the streets, and its floral industry as its representatives parade in full regalia in thanksgiving for the blessings granted on the city.

Kasinatian Festival
Location: Davao City, Philippines
Kasinatian Festival is held annually showcasing arts and culture which is 10 kilometers away from Davao City.
