Bantayan island, the shining tropical paradise in Asia is commonly known as an island paradise in Philippines. Tourists as far as Europe fall in love with its fine white sand and crystal clear blue waters. Many of these foreigners even settled down on the island to spend the rest of their lives. They build single-cottage beach houses along the shore but as time went by, construct a couple of new cottages instead to accommodate the growing number of tourists who seeks safe haven on the splendid island paradise. Two of the main attraction of the island is its crystal-clear waters and it's long stretch of powdery white sand. The stunning sunset will really spice those romantic walks on the beach. One of the reasons the island is famous is its peacefulness, the way a resort should be. Unsaturated beauty and a combination of sweet smiling natives made the island as it is now.
When you get to cool, crystal clear waters, white sandy beaches, pleasant town folk and delicious sea foods ... you're in the island of Bantayan. Coming to Bantayan is like coming out of a time machine. It's like entering the time and place when life was simple and quiet.
The island, which is composed of three municipalities, specifically Bantayan, Madridejos & Santa Fe is also generally known as the “Egg Basket” in the neighboring regions because it has been generating over one and a half million eggs a day to supply the growing demand of eggs for mainland Cebu, Negros, Panay and even Leyte.
When you get to cool, crystal clear waters, white sandy beaches, pleasant town folk and delicious sea foods ... you're in the island of Bantayan. Coming to Bantayan is like coming out of a time machine. It's like entering the time and place when life was simple and quiet.

Serenity
It took us two hours from Bantayan poblacion to reach Madridejos. I setup my tripod and wind was blowing like hell, it almost knock the tripod down. Truly a spectacular place. Location: Madridejos, Bantayan Island, Philippines |
Mati has always been known as a beach destination. Dahican is one of the most popular destinations in Mati with its 17-kilometer pure, fine white sand shore. Masao has been visited by tourists from Finland, Australia, USA, Japan and Korea. Pujada Bay boasts 15,700 species of sea life and has been considered as among the richest bays in South East Asia. Lobsters, Sea Cow (locally known as Dugong), bottlenose dolphin, hammerhead shark, manta ray and different kinds of turtles are among the most protected by the locals.
Recently, skimboarding, surfing, and frisbee sports have established a wide fandom among young locals with Dahican being the favorite hub for tournaments in the region.

Orb in the Horizon
We traveled six hours from Davao City to Mati, Davao Oriental. The road was paved and scenic. We stayed at Botona Resort and the resort in-charge informed us that the sun will rise just in front of the resort. Stormy Weather

From Puerto Princesa, Palawan we rode a bus to El Nido. El Nido town is located north of Puerto Princesa and 5 hours later we arrive at the local bus terminal. The weather is perfect and guess what?13 hours later the weather had turned from good to bad. Heavy rain's accompanied by strong winds battered the Island for 2 straight days.Bring it on!. These boats are attached with an automotive engine with a long propeller shaft.  Three birds and a Pizza Location: Phi Phi Island, Ao Nang, Krabi Woke up early and caught these three birds eating a Pizza. The bird in the middle wants a chunk on the right bird without realizing that there's a bigger chunk on the left. The Bird in the Paradise Location: Pee Pee Viewpoint, Phi Phi Island, Ao Nang, Krabi The walk to Pee Pee Viewpoint offers spectacular views over Dalum and Tonsai bays and out towards Phi Phi Ley.
